  7. TaskForce is a strategy game in the tradition of LaserSquad and
  8. Act Of War. You take control over a group of heavily armed
  9. mercenaries and guide them through hell...

  11. A mission editor is included in the archive, so you can easily
  12. design your own favourite arena.

  19. Mankind's worst nightmare has finally come true. The first contact
  20. didn't turn out to be as peaceful as expected,  and now the hordes
  21. of pure alien  evil who dwell in the pain  and the agony of  those
  22. whose flesh they feast upon drench the soil of the Earth in blood.
  23.  
  24. Mercy and sympathy  are totally alien concepts to them, and so far
  25. all attempts to solve the crisis with political means have failed,
  26. even though  the President had offered the support of his personal
  27. staff  of lawyers to  head off  the  expected  suits  against  the
  28. visitors.
  29.  
  30. Rumours have it that the aliens rejected this last desperate offer
  31. because they suspected the  President wanted to use them to divert
  32. from serious  interior affairs. Well,  if you  absolutely  have to
  33. know, super secret agent Kent Clever claims he  can actually prove
  34. that the President had sex with his wife. Shocking, isn't it?  Oh,
  35. I can  already hear the crowds  chanting in unison,  "Impeach him!
  36. Impeach him!".  I'm fairly  sure even  those of  you only  faintly
  37. touched  by Christianity have by  now detected a truly significant
  38. parallel in history.  But I digress.
  39.  
  40. Mankind  seems to  be  absolutely  helpless  against  the  furious
  41. onslaught of the ferocious invaders.  All of mankind?  No. A minor
  42. group of deeply faithful  monarchists still  exercises resistance.
  43. They  have  founded an extremely powerful task force to  drive the
  44. aggressors back to the smelly bogs they probably came from.
  45.  
  46. Unfortunately,  they are the  last hope for  the whole of mankind.
  47. The fate of the Earth rests in their hands. For God and the King -
  48. against the scum of the universe!
